Chet Hullum

General manager, SMART Embedded Computing
Chet Hullum leads the SMART Embedded Computing executive team. He brings more than 25 years of experience and leadership from companies such as GE, Intel and most recently Supermicro. Chet was the General Manager of IOT Industrial Solutions segment at while at Intel for 4 years.

Chet began his career with GE Power, where he held roles of increasing responsibility in engineering, operations, sales and marketing including: GM of Global Parts Engineering, Regional Director – Services, GM Sales Application Engineering for Global Industries, and finally as CMO and Strategic Marketing Executive for GE Energy Services.

Chet led the digital strategy for GE Energy Services and then helped grow Intel’s Industrial IOT business. He has experience developing, selling and marketing products for the embedded/IOT ecosystem. Chet has been working with partners and collaborating with customers in multiple segments and has experience with industrial, energy and military customers. He has developed and lead teams in sales, marketing and engineering.

Chet earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX and an MBA, Operations Management, from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a GE Executive program graduate.

Todd Wynia

Vice President Product Management and Marketing, SMART Embedded Computing
Todd Wynia leads the product management and marketing team at SMART Embedded Computing.

He has previously held VP roles with product line and strategic planning responsibility for Artesyn Embedded Technologies and Emerson Network Power.

Todd has written white papers on industry standards and industry developments. He has served on the boards of standards bodies and trade associations, chaired Emerson Network Power’s Intellectual Property Committee and sat on the company’s Innovation Advisory Board.

An alumnus of Heurikon and Artesyn Communication Products, Todd brings over 30 years’ experience in business development, mergers and acquisitions, product management and marketing, and business modelling in the embedded computing space to SMART EC.

Barry Dolan

Vice President Worldwide Sales, SMART Embedded Computing
Barry Dolan leads the worldwide sales team at SMART Embedded Computing.

He has previously held VP roles with sales and marketing responsibility for Artesyn Embedded Technologies, Emerson Network Power and CorEdge Networks.

Barry was President of Channel Access, a sales, marketing and systems integration business serving manufacturers in the embedded computer space. He started his embedded computing career with Force Computers, where he spent 14 years and progressed through several positions of increasing responsibility in sales, ultimately becoming VP Sales and Business Development.

Tom Nallen

Vice President Operations SMART Embedded Computing

Tom Nallen leads the operations at SMART Embedded Computing and for sister company, Penguin Computing.

He has previously held VP roles with operations responsibility for Artesyn Embedded Technologies and Emerson Network Power. Tom has helped lead the manufacturing strategy as the business acquired companies and has been acquired, most recently transferring products to the SMART facilities in Penang, Newark, CA, and Tempe, AZ.

Tom joined Emerson with its acquisition of Motorola’s Embedded Communications Computing group, where he was Director of Sales and Operations Planning. He started his career in corporate finance management with multinational manufacturers, bringing his accounting background to business operations roles to ensure efficiency and effectiveness were at the core of each business function.

Dave Halliday

Chief Technical Officer, SMART Embedded Computing
Dave Halliday is Chief Technical Officer for SMART Embedded Computing, where he leads on design philosophy, system-level engineering, and new technologies.

He was previously Director and Chief Technical Architect for Artesyn Embedded Technologies, where his focus was resolving the toughest customer challenges from a systems, solutions, and integration perspective. As Systems Architect for Texas Instruments, Dave was responsible for gathering customer requirements for next generation base station and core infrastructure devices.

Prior to this, he was a Data Plane Architect in the Motorola Computer Group Technology Office where he was responsible for proposing, specifying and managing strategic projects that helped shape the future product portfolio in areas such as deep packet processing, digital signal processing, IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) and IPTV. Dave represented Motorola in industry standards bodies and was elected to participate on the corporate Motorola Scientific Advisory Board. He has several US patents granted around media processing.

An alumnus of Blue Wave Systems and Loughborough Sound Images, Dave was a Royal Marines Commando, leading a team in multiple NATO activities.
